San Jose Sharks open the season with a 2-1 win at home against Winnipeg Jets. The Jets fall to 0-2 on the young season.



It was Timo Meier lighting the lamp in the 1st period for the Sharks. Mark Scheifele did the same in the 2nd period for the Jets to tie the game at one.


Erik Karlsson was the hero firing one past Connor Hellebuyck to give the Sharks a 2-1 lead late in the 2nd that they would go on to win by.
